The
Emergency Charger from Tech
Center Labs is a simple but useful too. It is an invention
that pairs a 9-volt battery to an adapter that fits into the hotsync
port of the Palm V/Vx. If you are anything like me and carry your
Palm everywhere, then the Emergency Charger is perfect for you. The good
thing about owning a Palm V/Vx is its small size and light weight.
Who wants to pack the big, bulky cradle along with the A/C adapter on a
weeks vacation just to keep your Palm charged? Now, with one
inexpensive and common 9-volt battery, you can keep a full charge on
your Palm for a week or more. All you have to do is connect the charger
to the hotsync port on the Palm and let it charge for about forty five
minutes. Don't let the "unfinished" look of the charger throw
its usefulness and effectiveness off. It really does work as advertised.
Although I would like to see a more refined and professional look to the
charger, I cant complain. It does exactly what it needs to do. I recommend
it to anyone who is away from the Palm's cradle for extended periods of
time and needs to keep their Palm up and running.
